"Oenone" Takes Line Honours !

Helen Lovett's beautifully restored yacht "Oenone" comfortably won last nights "round the sticks" race at Mornington Yacht Club. In strong winds, at times gusting over 25 knots, this 1901 gaff rigged cutter showed she still has what it takes.

Together with Helen, Oenone was masterfully crewed by Jane and Richard Turner and Manda and Rob Debenham

OPTIMIST girls  are invited too !

The regatta advertises for Laser & Sabre, however we are inviting only Westernport bay club and MMYC Optimist girls for this inaugural regatta. If the optimist girls would like to attend, they need to let me know as soon as they can so that I can reserve a place for them; please ask that they contact either myself: This email address is being protected from spambots. It would be great to see as many MMYC women and girls attend.

Thanks for your support and looking forward to our sailing season ahead.

Cheers,
Sarah
