MMYC Optis trek to Queensland

  

During the month of July during the school holidays three of MMYC junior sailors Zac Heyes and Holly Shepherd competed in the open fleet and Mackenzie Heyes completed in the intermediate fleet at the Queensland Youth Week Championships, This was high quality fleet with the best kids competing from all over Australia and some internationals as well!

We rented a motor home from Bendigo with a friend from Mornington yacht club(Cam and William McKenzie) and towed the rib behind it with opties strapped on top of the rib. The kids loved traveling in the motor! We stopped at the Dish in Parkes then stoped overnight in a truck stop just south of Moore.

New Weather Camera

The club now has a new Web Cam to provide more reliable weather pictures to the web site.  Thanks to Chris Whitford and Tim Whitford for helping me install this new piece of equipment, and to the Committee for investing in a capability that provides an invaluable benefit to Club Members.
